Toyo Tires Develops iPad App as a Resource for Dealers

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announces the company’s new iPad Application (App) developed in collaboration with Source Interlink Media’s (SIM) MediaWorks and Mind Over Eye divisions is now available on iTunes. This new tool provides easy access to Toyo Tires product information, including training, videos, size and specifications, brochures and more.

A powerful and convenient mobile resource, it will help the Toyo Tires sales team train dealers on the company’s products, while dealers can use it to train their own staff and sell in the showroom. Users can access information such as a product overview, product features and benefits, size information and specifications, and multi-media (product videos, commercials and photos.) In addition, people can view media stories that were published about the specific product they are viewing. Other content available on the App includes PDF product brochures, PDF’s of select issues of the Toyo Tires dealer magazine Connect, links to the company’s main website www.toyotires.com and access to a password-protected dealer training site. For even more convenience, viewers can access the Toyo Tires Facebook and Twitter pages, and YouTube™ channel right from the app.

The Toyo Tires iPad App can also be used as a presentation tool at events or trade shows. Tire sizes and specifications are accessed directly from the company’s main website.

“Printed marketing materials are quickly dated as they are produced only a few times per year,” said Amy Coleman, senior director of marketing, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Our new iPad App is a dynamic marketing tool that provides immediate access to the most current product information, making it easier to teach dealers, their staff and consumers about the benefits of Toyo tires.”

The App will be used this week at SEMA Show 2012 in Las Vegas to educate attendees on popular luxury touring, ultra high performance and light truck tires. They can be found on tire kiosks in both the Toyo Tires inside booth (#40029) and the outside motorsports display. The app currently features eighteen of Toyo Tires most popular products. The company plans to expand the App to include the entire line-up by early next year.
